Thor movie
Marvel Productions is planning something big, with the assembling of The Avengers. With all the movies that have come out Incredible Hulk, Iron Man, Wolverine, Spiderman, Fantastic 4, and X-Men who is next in line? Well of course it has to be a member of The Avengers for the assembly to keep going. Who is next? With the installation of the Iron Man 2 movie coming out, Marvel Studios is in the process and have started development and Principal Photography on the next movie.
The story of the Norse God Thor has started work on preproduction. In “Thor,” Chris Hemsworth portrays the Norse God. Tom Hiddleston plays the role of Thor’s brother Loki, and Natalie Portman was casted as Jane Foster. Academy Award® winning actor Anthony Hopkins was added on as Odin, Renee Russo as Frigga, Ray Stevenson as Volstagg, Tadanobu Asano as Hogun, Josh Dallas as Fandral, Jaimie Alexander as Sif, Idris Elba as Heimdall, as well as Colm Feore, Kat Dennings and award-winning actor Stellan Skarsgård is also added into the mix. The film directed by Kenneth Branagh is slated for release in theatres domestically on May 6, 2011 via Paramount Pictures which will also release the film on a worldwide basis.
True believers!! This one is truly for Asgard! The film revolves around The Mighty Thor, a powerful but arrogant warrior whose reckless actions reignite an ancient war. Thor is cast down to Earth and forced to live among humans as punishment. Once here, Thor learns what it takes to be a true hero when the most dangerous villain of his world sends the darkest forces of Asgard to invade Earth. The film spans the Marvel Universe from present day Earth to the realm of Asgard. Sounds exciting doesn’t it?
Screenplay by Mark Protosevich as well as Ashley Miller & Zack Stentz, and Don Payne. With Marvel Studios producer Kevin Feige backing them up as well as executive producers Stan Lee, Alan Fine, and Louis D’Esposito.
With Thor in the works and Iron Man 2 just around the corner, the long awaited Avengers film is closer than ever.
