It looks like Bradley Cooper isn’t going to be heading into the “spy” genre anytime soon. He backs out of McG’s next project to join Todd Phillips new project. Terminator: Salvation director, McG was in negations with FOX to direct This Means War. The story about two bestfriends spying on the same girl, and ironically falling in love for the same person they both are spying on. The friendship falls apart as they battle it out for this one girl played by Reese Witherspoon.
However, according to EW, due to scheduling problems with the film schedule, Cooper had to back out. Twentieth Century FOX has confirmed his departure from the movie. Cooper will instead be joining Todd Phillips in his sequel to the big hit movie, The Hangover. FOX is at a lose and is has not yet produced any information about the development of their film. This Means War has been an ongoing project that has not yet been finalized or filmed as it weaves through different director’s hands. No word has yet to be said about who’s to replace Bradley Cooper in the film (Ryan Reynolds maybe? haha).
The Hangover 2 starts filming in July, 2010.
