R.I.P. Roger Gaw 1986-2010

Days of silence and remembrance will always follow when news comes to your attention as it did for us here at Whargarbl TV. A friend of ours passed, and in this passing brought together a community, a group of friends and loved ones to speak their thoughts an share their memories. He was a good friend, a caring person, a comedic act, and as redneck as can be. We all cared for him. To Roger Gaw we raise our beer cans and chug one down for you. Roger Gaw died at the age of 23.

He was a community member at the G4 interactive chats, a staff writer for the Nerdiest-Kids, an awesome person if you ever had the chance to speak with him. Whether it be via webchat, or in person, his personality resonates and you can feel his honesty and goodness.

Nerdiest-Kids is has a post up “In Memory of Roger Gaw” For those of you who knew him, we are all with you in his remembrance.

“This post is for everyone, staff and community, to talk about their favorite moments with Roger. It doesn’t matter if it was just a comment he made, one of his Sony fanboy “I hate Xbox” posts, or a conversation the two of you had. Please feel free to share.”

News of his death came suddenly and not much is known as to how, when, and why. This post will be updated as we get more details on this.

JASON: I only knew Roger through the stickam chatrooms. I remember the first time I met him on there, he came off as a pedo, only because of the stories I’ve heard from Allen and Ange. But it was all in good fun, he was no pedo at all. He was a funny guy that Roger was. He would know when to be sincere and when to joke around, although we didn’t really swap words with each other, I noticed his actions and how he would listen to everyone in the chat room. He was attentive to how the chat was going, and he adjusted properly. That’s the Roger Gaw I remember, as redneck (and i mean this with respect for him) of a guy he was, he was a good friend to those who knew him. I wish I could have been one of the lucky few to have met him in person for the NK meetup, and I was looking forward to meeting him and others as well in Comic Con this summer. But alas, I raise my can to you buddy, you will be missed.

If you would like to pay your respects to Roger Gaw, or just read about him to get a sense of how his life was lived. Please feel free to write comments on here, or visit the Nerdiest-Kids post. (picture also from the site)
