How “Super” Is Super Street Fighter 4?

Super Street Fighter IV
35!!! Count them!!! 35 playable fighters right off the bat!!! What else do you need you ask? Well, how about several new Ultra combos. Is that all? No way!!! How about new costumes, new stages, and more game modes to choose from.

Do you remember back in the days, where you asked your mom to buy you that video game with the guy who says “Hadoken” all the time. I remember playing Super Street Fighter 2 on my Sega Genesis for hours with my cousins who came over to play.(I’m sorry for the flashback, now back to reality) It seemed like it was yesterday. Well anyway, the way I felt back then wasn’t compared to how I felt ripping the packaging off of Super Street Fighter 4.

Right away, I went straight to playing online and boy that was a mistake!!! I should have known better to practice a little before I went on playing with the best in the world. I think I lost about 3 or 4 times before I won my first match which I used the additional fighter named ADON from the Alpha series.

I could tell right away that the graphics have improved from last years installment. The stages are beautiful to look at especially one stage called “Solar Eclipse“. Watch out for the Hippos, that’s all I gotta say! There’s so much to look at in this game, it just makes you want to play more.

The Ultra combos are amazing and each of the 35 fighters have 2 to choose from. I know! Why can’t you choose both at the same time!? Well, you’re just gonna have to ask Capcom about that because I was asking the same question. It would have been sweet to have both of the Ultra combos at your disposal but I guess Capcom is just gonna have to put that in the next SUPER Super Street Fighter 4(LOL).

Juri and Hakan are great additions to the Street Fighter Roster because of their unique fighting styles. Juri is a master at Taekwondo and Hakan is just a greasy guy who loves to oil wrestle you to death(AHHHH Visual!!!) I love how they added more characters such as Deejay, Adon, Cody, Guy, Ibuki, and many more to the original lineup. It just takes me back to when I was playing Super Street Fighter 2 on my Genesis.(OK sorry, last flashback). I was unable to try out all of the character since I was mostly online playing, but I’m sure that they are all great additions.

I can’t believe that Capcom added the “car” and “barrel” bonus stages from the old school Street Fighter games. I used to love beating up on the car and throwing fireballs at those barrels. Another nice addition for this game. There are also several game modes such as Team Battle, Endless Battle and a cool new feature called Replay Channel where you can watch the replays of you beating up that random person online. It’s literally lots of “replayability”!!!

Overall, I believe if you were one of those people such as myself who bought the original Street Fighter 4 last year, you should just throw it away!!! No, I’m just kidding! No seriously, SELL IT or something and then BUY Super Street Fighter 4. Believe me, you’ll thank me later. Lots of game modes, 35 fighters, colorful backgrounds, and several Ultra combos to choose from…What else can I say? There’s really something “Super” about Super Street Fighter 4! Buy one NOW…before supplies last.  You want this game? Buy it @ www.gameaholicz.com and check out more customer reviews.
