It’s been a rumor going around for a few weeks now that Tommy Lee Jones may have a small part in Captain America: The First Avenger and not a lot of people know the details of his involvement in the film. However the rumors have turned out to be true as actress Hayley Atwell lets it slip in an interview with BAFTA television. Though she mentioned that he was involved nothing more was said about his character and what it is exactly Tommy Lee Jones will be doing for the film.

I have yet to meet Tommy Lee Jones…Although I think I have a scene with him, which I’m really looking forward to doing. And Samuel L. Jackson, who, I’m sure, he’s got better things to do than come and meet me for five minutes, but I’m sure I’ll get a chance to later.

Her interview also suggests that there will be some scenes where we get to see Hayley’s character in action, as she is training six days a week to make her character more convincing when she “kicks butt.” Her interview is found below, and suggests a couple of things.

1. Atwell’s character will get to see some action in the movie
2. Tommy Lee Jones is in the film, how big of a role is still unsure
3. Samuel L. Jackson is either really busy, or a real jerk (which i would like to think the first being in so many Marvel projects)
4. The cast is rounding out quite nicely, especially now that they have the gravitas of Jones present.
