Achingly lonely, Owen spends his days plotting revenge on his middle school tormentors and his evenings spying on the other inhabitants of his apartment complex. His only friend is his new neighbor Abby (Chloe Moretz), an eerily self-possessed young girl who lives next door with her silent father (Oscar nominee Richard Jenkins). A frail, troubled child about Owen’s age, Abby emerges from her heavily curtained apartment only at night and always barefoot, seemingly immune to the bitter winter elements. Recognizing a fellow outcast, Owen opens up to her and before long, the two have formed a unique bond.

It looks as if the horror films are well on it’s way this week with Let Me In and Case 39. Two films that I can say that I’ve patiently waited for since this summer. Chloe Moretz was fantastic in Kick-Ass as Hthe foul-mouthed Hitgirl. I can’t wait to see what she brings to the big screen in her next motion picture performance. A lot of good reviews coming from David Fincher’s The Social Network, a movie about the creation of Facebook. While I have mixed feelings about the film, I’m curious to see how this movie will really play out from opening night. That’s it for this week’s major releases be sure to come back next week to see what’s in store for theaters.
