Though it’s not quite comic book or graphic novel, the story is still derived from a novel and is pretty interesting. With Micheal Bay and Steven Spielberg producing the film through Dreamworks, expect it to have a high production value. The director of Eagle Eye and Disturbia, D.J. Caruso takes the seat for this film that stars Alex Pettyfer, Timothy Olyphant, Teresa Palmer, Dianna Agron, Kevin Durand, and Callan McAuliffe. Alex Pettyfer is the main character and the tagline of the film is a quote from his character, which also holds the title of the film. “Three are dead, I Am Number Four.“
I know we brought you a trailer for this movie back in 2010, but it’s 2011 and this looks like a movie trailer that’s worth showing again and definitely worth seeing in theaters. Leave your thoughts and comments below.
Synopsis
Nine infant aliens, who closely resemble humans, flee their home planet, Lorien, to hide on Earth. An invading species, the Mogadorians, have destroyed their planet, and followed them to Earth to hunt them down. Each of the nine aliens is given a guardian and will develop superhuman powers as they become adults. They are each assigned a number. These last children of Lorien can only be killed in the sequence of their numbers. Numbers One, Two, and Three have been killed so far.
Three are dead. Who is Number Four? D.J. Caruso (“Eagle Eye,” “Disturbia”) helms an action-packed thriller about an extraordinary teen, John Smith (Alex Pettyfer), who is a fugitive on the run from ruthless enemies sent to destroy him. Changing his identity, moving from town to town with his guardian Henri (Timothy Olyphant), John is always the new kid with no ties to his past. In the small Ohio town he now calls home, John encounters unexpected, life-changing events–his first love (Dianna Agron), powerful new abilities and a connection to the others who share his incredible destiny.
I Am Number Four hits theaters Feb. 18, 2011.
