Iration: Fresh Grounds-EP

Hello fellow Whargarblers. Welcome to my third album review of the year. This time I come back to the reggae/rock genre and give you my thoughts on the latest album from Iration.  Iration brings their musical influences from their native home of Hawaii  along with influences from the reggae/rock/pop generes. They released their first independant album entitled “No Time To Rest” in 2007. Since then Iration has released another album, a previous EP, and have continued to gain fans while on and off tour. Their latest EP is called “Fresh Grounds” and that was released everywhere on February 8, 2011. Here’s the track listing:

   1. Can’t Wait

   2. Work It Out

   3. All This Time

    4. No Letter

    5. Summer Nights

Fresh Grounds is an amazing EP. For only five tracks, Fresh Grounds has it’s mix of upbeat/relationship/laid back/fun to listen to songs. “Can’t Wait” is a great introuduction to Fresh Grounds and then is wrapped up perfectly with ‘Summer Nights”. There is not one song the listener will be disappointed with. There’s even a cool tune where the bands’ lead singer Micah Pueschel does a solo performance on a song called “No Letter” which only has one acoustic guitar and a small amount of keyboards. With all of that said, my rating for Iration: Fresh Grounds is a definate WORTH OWNING. I highly recommend downloading their mp3′s from Itunes, Amazon, or from RockTheThreads.com Even if you’ve never heard of Iration their music is inspiring, easy listening, and worth checking out. Finally, I must praise Iration for their hard work and dedication. On February 9th, 2011 Iration announced on their Facebook page that Fresh Grounds made #1 on the Billboard New Artist chart:
