Whargarbl TV had a chance to sit down at a round table with writer, Neil Gaiman (Coraline, Sandman). Gaiman spoke a bit about the episode he wrote for Dr. Who which will be “the fourth episode, originally the eleventh in the last season” but got pushed back to the fourth episode in season 6 for budgeting reasons. “This may be my only opportunity ever to write an episode of Dr. Who, so I’m going to put everything I’ve ever loved about Dr. Who into this one episode.” He went on to further explained, “and I got to put .. uhm… all of the things that I loved about Dr. Who into it.”

Gaiman’s episode will be in Season 6 as the fourth episode titled “The Doctor’s Wife” … “It’s called the ‘Doctor’s Wife’ and I intend to comment on that no further” He jokes around with the press, but really doesn’t go on to explain the rest of the episode. “[The episode] begins on a junkyard planet,” which Gaiman said he thought worked well since after all, Doctor Who started out in a junkyard with low budget props and a whole lot of imagination. The cast includes Suranne Jones who plays Idris, a character who may turn out to be an old acquaintance of the Doctor’s with a new face. Also staring is Michael Sheen who plays as “a mysterious baddie” called The House.
