Glad you are here because I am serving up another hot round of THIS WEEK IN MOVIES! So if you have been following up with our posts here at Whargarbl TV then you know we have been keeping up with The Hangover II. Well, it seems like the film is experiencing another change as it is again replacing one of their actors. Originally Mel Gibson was to make a cameo appearance as a tattoo artist but to this did not sit well with some of the cast, leading to Liam Neeson joining the cast and it is yet again changing . Director Todd Phillips decided to cut Liam Neeson’s cameo since the scene did not fit the storyline and decided to reshoot. Neeson who was no longer available to film reshoots was then replaced by director of The Notebook, Nick Cassavetes (Variety). According to Variety, Phillips said about Cassavetes:

Nick Cassavetes
We were in a complete time crunch so I called up Nick and asked if he would do the part,” Phillips explained. “He came in and crushed it and that is the scene that you will ultimately see in the film. (I’m excited for everyone) to see the film. It turned out great.
The Hangover II is in theaters on May 26, but if anything else develops before then we will let you know. Now Bradley Cooper who stars in The Hangover II is in talks for guess what…another remake.
Bradley Cooper
The film he is possibly doing is the remake of 1994′s The Crow, which starred Brandon Lee who died during the production of the film. The new version will be directed by 28 Weeks Later’s Juan Carlos Fresnadillo (Hollywood Reporter). Speaking of casting choices, it seems as though we finally have a villain for Zack Snyder’s Superman project. Nope, it is not Lex Luther but Zod! The Hollywood Reporter announces that General Zod will be played by Michael Shannon who discusses in the clip his experience in getting the part at the Riverrun International Film Festival:
This is a surprising choice but an interesting one, and I am curious to see how this new Superman will turn out. All right thanks for hanging in there with me but I have one more update. If you did not know there is a prequel to Planet of the Apes called Rise of the Planet of the Apes. “Rise” stars James Franco, Freida Pinto, and Andy Serkis who did motion capture for LOTR as Gollum will play Caesar, the main ape in the film (Yahoo! Movies). A five second teaser of what maybe Serkis as Caesar has come about, check it out:
