For those that are into puzzle-based adventure games, Konami released a trailer yesterday for their upcoming video game Doctor Lautrec And The Forgotten Knights due to be released this summer for the Nintendo 3Ds. According to Konami, they explain that “ players will excavate abandoned Parisian tunnels, fight off enemies and explore the Paris of yesteryear to find lost treasure, all with eye-popping 3D graphics without glasses.
In the trailer, players are introduced to some of the main characters and given a glimpse of some of fun art style and animations they should expect to see when the game launches. Based in 19th century Paris, players will embark on an epic journey to uncover ancient treasures, believed to be that of Louis the XIV. Using ancient maps and gut instincts, players take the role of Dr. Jean-Pierre Lautrec, the smart and logical archaeologist. Also along for the ride is Sophie, his trusty student/assistant, who also serves as his more sociable half. Players also get a sneak peak of a couple of Dr. Lautrec’s nemesis’ throughout the game – including one of the bosses and Jean and Paul, the leader of the crime syndicate, who’s also racing to find the lost treasures.”
