Dead Island, if you haven’t seen or heard about it, is a video game about zombies attacking humans, but though the concept has been done quite a bit much the game itself looks amazing. The characters are more well rounded as the character you play grows throughout the game alongside you. Starting from a frightened character to a skilled zombie killer. The following video shows the game play for the game and explains quite a bit, if you are not going to be at E3 this may be a good spot to watch how this game is, and if you have HD capabilities on your computer, you can enjoy the awesome graphics.

Left 4 Dead and Dead Rising were good, but this game looks like it can sweep those games right off of their feet and capture much more attention than those games have. Look for more during E3 week, as they will be showing the 4-player coop feature, and much more gameplay.

The island of Banoi is a lush, tropical paradise in the South Pacific where its flagship Royal Palms Resort serves as the ultimate getaway for vacationers with money to burn. However, all good things must soon come to an end – and the picturesque resort falls into madness, carnage and chaos after a mysterious and contagious zombie outbreak claims its once peaceful atmosphere. Cut off from the rest of the world, only four individuals who strangely find themselves immune to zombification have the power to protect the remaining survivors from the horrors of the island, to discover what’s really going on and find a way to escape before their own fatal ends.

The game will be available August 1, 2011 for the PC, XBOX 360, and PS3 (let’s hope PSN gets their stuff together by then). Rated M+ and developed by Techland.
