Independent R&B/Soul/Pop band Matt Masih & The Messengers will be releasing their debut album entitled “Commotion” this Tuesday June 7th, 2011 on Itunes.

Matt Masih & The Messengers is from the Santa Cruz area and has been continuously doing shows around Santa Cruz, Monterey, and throughout the northbay. Here’s some additional information/statements from the band:

*Matt Masih & the Messengers have been dominating the west-coast music scene for the last 2 years. Their new full-length record, that will be released this Spring, is highly anticipated to be the new sound that listeners will cling to. With BIG horn lines, catchy hooks, and down-to-earth lyrics; The Messengers live show is a must-see. They recently had the privilege of opening for OZOMATLI and KY MANI MARLEY in their hometown and this defined their calling in being a fusion band that can play with anyone! Being a 6-piece Jam Band (funk/soul/groove/reggae) hailing from SANTA CRUZ, CA., “We believe that music is best when it truly comes from your heart and feelings, this is why we have a lot of room in our songs for improv solo’s that enhances creativity and paints a picture through sound.
