During the Comic-Con Friday Line-up Ballroom 20 started off with the Torchwood: Miracle Day panel which filled the room up pretty quickly. If you wanted to see the panel you should have either camped out, or joined the line 5 hours ahead of time to get in.

For those of you who were lucky enough to view the panel live, you were in for a treat in a room full of laughter and a bunch of sexual innuendos (especially from Barrowman).

In the fourth installment of the “Doctor Who” spinoff, which premiered earlier this month on Starz, no one on Earth is dying and it’s up to immortal, time-traveling Capt. Jack Harkness (John Barrowman) and company to figure out why. After “Torchwood: Children of Earth” ended its run on BBC America it was up in the air for where will the show go from there?

Barrowman was pleased when he heard “Miracle Day” was indeed a go — on a different channel, STARZ.  “I thought they’d be stupid not to bring it back,” Barrowman said. “Thank goodness for Starz … here we are.”

Also pleased to be back and sport off her leather goods, is Eve Myles who plays Gwen Cooper on the show. “It’s quite easy to slip back into Cooper’s leathers,” she said. “In fact, it’s quite difficult to get me out of them.”The panel also included the likes of Bill Pullman (Oswald Danes), Mekhi Phifer (Rex Matheson), Alexa Havins (Ester Drummand), and writer Jane Espenson. The cast and crew brought in little goodies for what to expect in the upcoming episodes. Espenson says that things are about to get dark in the show, “If you are feeling hungry for dark chocolate, and you’ve been getting milk chocolate, wait for Episode 5,” she said.

When Barrowman was asked by Doctor Who and Torchwood fans alike if Capt. Jack will make an appearance in the “Doctor Who” 50th anniversary special coming up in 2013?

He replies “I would love to,” Barrowman said. “I would be disappointed if he didn’t appear in it … I’m totally up for it.”

He also tells fans that he is “a nerd at heart.” Barrowman claims that he roamed the convention floor Thursday , spending about $2,000 on T-shirts, action figures and other knick-knacks.

The new cast members, Mekhi Phifer and Bill Pullman admit that they were not familiar with the previous series before it hit STARZ. Phifer however clears up that “Even though I’m from Harlem, I’m a big nerd too.” As for his character on the show Phifer hinted that his character would find romance: “You will see some butt cheeks and things like that.”

The bigger picture is that fans definitely have a lot to look forward to in the upcoming episodes in the series.

The 10-episode, hour-long series will also feature an impressive list of guest stars: Wayne Knight (“Seinfeld,” Jurassic Park), C. Thomas Howell (“Southland,” The Outsiders), Ernie Hudson (“OZ,” Ghostbusters), Nana Visitor (“Star Trek: Deep Space Nine”), John DeLancie (“Star Trek: The Next Generation”), Mare Winningham (Mildred Pierce, George Wallace) and Frances Fisher (Titanic, The Lincoln Lawyer).

The show’s original creator, writer/producer Russell T Davies, serves as executive producer along with BBC Worldwide Productions’ SVP Julie Gardner, with Davies also serves as the show-runner.

TORCHWOOD: MIRACLE DAY the new series could be airs on STARZ on Fridays at 10pm ET/PT
