From what I understand, Marvel Studios will be bridging the gaps between all of the Avengers through short films that include newly filmed footage and old movie footage the past films. The shorts will star Clark Gregg as SHIELD Agent Coulson who made his appearance in several of the past movies.

In this short Agent Coulso and Agent Sitwell meet to talk about the fact that bigwigs want Emil Blonsky, aka The Abomination, to be a part of the Avengers. Sitwell played by Maximiliano Hernández.

The short film was debuted at Comic-Con and is now online for the world to view. The Consultant bridges The Incredible Hulk,  The Avengers and Iron Man 2. The short also appears on the upcoming Thor DVD.

A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to Thor’s Hammer, is the second short film that will be coming soon. In this short, Agent Coulson will shed some light on some events that takes place between Iron Man 2 and Thor. These “Marvel One-Shots” are more of an expansion of the Marvel cinematic universe than an addition, filling some of the holes left behind in the feature film chronology so far.
